The Amazingly dark Spiderman: New trailer drops

Peter Parker is back and he’s on quest for truth. These superheros always seem to be. Columbia Pictures has released the latest trailer of the geeky superhero with spidey senses. It’s dark, pretty dark. I think big chunk of the movie might have taken place at night, it’s so dark.

The story of course follows awkward teen and slight social outcast Peter Parker as he tries to unravel the mystery of his own past and winning the heart of his high school crush, Gwen Stacy. Note that it’s not Mary-Jane. Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase belonging to his father, who abandoned him when he was a child, which leads him to his dad’s former partner, Dr. Connors. The discovery of his father’s secret will ultimately shape his destiny of becoming “Spider-Man” and brings him face to face with Connors’ villainous alter ego, the Lizard. Ooh excitamondo!

The film is directed by Marc Webb and stars Garfield, Stone, Ifans, Martin Sheen, Sally Field and Denis Leary. “The Amazing Spider-Man” hits theaters in July.
