The US election as seen on Instagram [Photos]

America and the rest of the world can now begin the slow path to recovery after Tuesday night’s election which saw President Barack Obama get re-elected as the 44th president of the United States. The president’s victory tweet saw a record-breaking personal retweet number on Twitter with 378 633 retweets.

According to Twitter, “With 20-million tweets, Election Day just became the most tweeted about event in US political history.”

On popular photo-based social network, Instagram, hashtags such as #4MoreYears, #uselection and #obama were also popular.
