The Lonely Island puts a new spin on YOLO in their new video
While we sit and patiently wait for the world to realise that YOLO needs to die quietly (c’mon, it was on pretty much every ‘Banned Words of 2013’ list out there), the humorous video machine that is Lonely Island has presented us with something to watch: their latest video.
The group behind YouTube favourites such as ‘Like a Boss’ tackles the over-used acronym in a different way: you only live once, so why do anything dangerous or exciting? Wouldn’t it be safer to sit at home and hide from sunlight, furniture and potentially dangerous forms of transport in the hopes of extending the one life you have to lead? Are you a super paranoid hypochondriac? This one’s for you.
The song, which features Kendrick Lamar and Maroon 5’s Adam Levine, has gathered more than two-million views in two days. It’s the first song off the group’s as yet unnamed third album, which is set to be released sometime this year.
