Less Tragic Superhero Origins is way more realistic, super entertaining

Let’s be honest, there’s always been something a little unrealistic about superhero comics. No it’s not the powers (a small part of us believes ours are still coming), it’s the origin stories.

I mean seriously, the Waynes are the richest people in Gotham, what are they doing going anywhere without a private security detail? Fortunately, the folks over at Dorkly have given the genre a dose of common sense with their “Less Tragic Superhero Origins” video.

Sure Bruce Wayne’s dad comes off looking like a rich douchebag, but at least he doesn’t end up growing up an orphan. Growing up with the loving Kent’s in Smallville meanwhile means that Superman isn’t trapped with his birth parents on Krypton, who apparently have the mentality of 19 year olds set loose on an open bar.

Finally, if Uncle Ben hadn’t continually lectured Peter Parker about responsibility, the kid might’ve been able to relax a little and actually have a functional relationship with Mary Jane.
