If you’ve been on Twitter today, chances are you haven’t managed to avoid the rage around the five-year prison sentence Oscar Pistorius today received for killing his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.
The anger around what many perceived to be an already light charge was only compounded when it was revealed that the former Olympic and Paralympic athlete would only serve 10 months of his sentence before being eligible to apply for parole.
As is so often the case though, anger rapidly turned to dark humour with the hashtag #ThingsLongerThanOscarsSentence cropping up on Twitter.
