James Franco’s new Motorola Droid ad is totally bizarre
Technology ads are getting very weird. Just take a look at the clip for the Motorola Droid Turbo posted by actor, polymath and artist James Franco.
The ad shows Franco being filmed by a fan while wearing a button down shirt, before smiling menacingly and disappearing. He then reappears from the opposite direction, takes a snap using the Droid Turbo and once again disappears.
On watching, it’s not entirely clear how the video is meant to sell people on the phone, although if Franco’s tweet is anything to go by, it may have something to with speed.
Me on a bike … even their camera can’t keep up #ad #Droid #FrancoFast http://t.co/SzQzWw1YFX

The video is getting some decent play, but it’s unclear whether Franco will be able to provide Motorola with the same kind of visibility as Asthon Kutcher has done for its new owner Lenovo.
