Weekly Round Up #22: #AskMmusi, Instacart, Gaming villains and humans crash into self driving cars

Politicians have embraced social media platforms but unlike the propaganda that they can spread on their newsletters, social media platforms are a space that is hard to police. When Mmusi Maimane took to Twitter, tossing himself into the war of tweet, shortly after his election as the new DA leader, what he was hoping for might have been far from the tweets that he got. The hashtag #AskMmusi quickly trended, soliciting the most bizarre and hilarious questions. Amidst these there were some genuine political questions too. The team are divided on whether the new DA leader won or lost this particular battle.

Shopping malls and shops can be a nightmare, kids screaming, queues, and fighting over the last canned beans can. Imagine then if you did not have to go to the mall or shops. That you cold order your goods and have them delivered to your door. Instacart has succeeded in the US, can the same succeed in South Africa? The team considers, though they agree that they hate going to the shops, the advantages and disadvantages of this service.

According to Google data, human drivers are terrible drivers. Following an article accusing Google self-driving cars of causing accidents, Google went on the offence, releasing data that proves that the accidents were a result of human error.

And then the team name their favourite gaming villains.
