Google brings My Maps to Google Drive
Today, Google Drive is even getting better. Google announced that My Maps is coming to Google Drive. My Maps, though not hugely popular with most users, makes it possible for individuals to put their world on a custom map.
Google says that people can create multiple maps and these will be searchable on the drive.
There is nothing better than Google Drive, writing documents in one device and then having the ability to work on them on multiple device is perfect. Gone are the days of forgetting important documents at home or having to carry devices or transfer files from one to the other.
The integration of My Maps on Google Drive means that planning the next event, mapping out the shortest and safest route to see clients if one owns a business is going to be a lot easier. It is also going to be easier to create, find and share your custom maps.

There are all kinds of things one can use My Maps for within Google Drive. Google gives an example where one is coordinating a multi-chain electronics store.
Google says that the feature can be used such that “each driver can access everything they need, from maps to delivery lists, all in one place. Once Martin assigns routes, drivers can use any device to simply search the folder for the right map.”
Important things to note about my maps in Google Drive is that maps don’t use any of your storage quota for Google Drive, the maps cannot be accessed offline and that when you share a map from Google Drive, the “Change owner” option is not available.
To create My Maps on Google Drive is simple. The first thing to do is of course to be signed in to your Google account, then open Google Drive, and click on the new button and choose more and Google My Maps will be there.
