Microsoft introduces Invite, an easy way to organise meetings on the go
Microsoft reckons scheduling meetings and coordinating multiple schedules on a small screen is a bit of a task and has decided to do something about it. Microsoft Garage, a Microsoft wing that works on new ideas, has released an app for iPhone called Invite.
Invite, the company explains, is an easier way to organise meetings on the go across organisations. The app is a standalone app but it works best with an Office 365 business and school subscriptions, but also works with Outlook.com, Gmail and Yahoo Mail.
Invite’s advantage lies in its simple functionality. The way it works is that users can invite attendees of people in their email address book with suggested times. Those users can then select the times that suits them best and will be able to see what other attendees have chosen as times that suits them best.

The person who sent the invite can, after everyone has indicated their preferred time, pick the time that works best for everyone and tap send calendar invites on the app.
Microsoft has in the past few years upped its app game and has in the past months acquired startups like Wunderlist, a to-do list, Acompli, a mobile email client, and the calendar app Sunrise.
In June, the company introduced Send, an app designed for in and out email, enabling users to enable users to send a short quick note to co-workers.
The app is only available for iPhone in Canada and US but Microsoft promises that it will come to Android and its own operating system, Windows, soon.
