With today’s discerning consumer demanding that their wearable tech be as functional as it is fashionable, the HUAWEI WATCH GT 5 Series steps boldly…
Tinder gifts two people who have barely talked a trip to Maui
Josh Avsec and Michelle Arendas liked each other so much that they never bothered to communicate — and now they’re being rewarded.
After matching on Tinder in September 2014, the pair apologised back and forth for being too busy to chat.
Hahahaha one day I’m going to meet this girl and it’s going to be epic. Look at the dates of our tinder texts. pic.twitter.com/DASQK4c5cX

Every month or two, one of the pair would check in to say that they were “in the shower” or “the middle of class”. The gag ran on three years, with neither bothering to actually make a move.
Eventually Avsec posted the conversation to Twitter, where it became so popular it found its way to Michelle.
sorry I’d reply but I need to give it a few months !

Twitter users — and Josh — were ecstatic at the outcome.
Wow😊 This is single handedly the coolest thing twitter has ever done for me. Be sure to check your DMs sometime at the end of August.

if you ever end up meeting, first round of drinks are on me (maybe even the second round, if you guys get to that).

Eventually even Tinder caught on.
Good things come to those who wait ⌛️

It’s time you got together IRL. You have 24 hrs to decide the city you want to have your first date in and we’ll send you there! @mch_rnd https://t.co/7r2JQtcxKC
— Tinder (@Tinder) July 10, 2017
The company offered the pair a trip to any city in the world for their first date. Their choice? Maui, Hawaii.
After a long debate over your unbelievably generous offer, our dream first-date would be in Hawaii. Meet you in Maui?? @mch_rnd
— Josh Avsec (@Wes_03) July 11, 2017
Aloha! We’re sending you to Maui but you can’t take two years to pack your bags! 🏖️

Is this another case of the Wendy’s nugget tweet in which someone who did barely anything was overly lauded? Probably.
Am I just bitterly jealous that I don’t have a free trip to my favourite city? You guessed it.
