Okay, so the heading lies: This isn’t the last week in trailers. This is more like the last five days in trailers, because the last was written last week Wednesday. I apologise if you feel misled, but it had to happen for the sake of continuity and I’m not too fussed if I’m honest with you.
So here’s the last week-ish in trailers.

Black Mirror
The fourth season of Black Mirror is on its way and we have been gifted with both a trailer and episode titles: “Crocodile”, “Arkangel”, “Hang the DJ”, “USS Callister”, “Metalhead”, and “Black Museum”.
All of the episodes were written by Charlie Brooker and are directed by the likes of Jodie Foster (“Arkangel”) and Twilight Saga: Eclipse director David Slade (“Metalhead”). Brooker has confirmed that each episode will have its own “strikingly different” tone and genre.
Black Mirror is coming to Netflix “soon”.
Last Flag Flying
Boyhood director Richard Linklater has made yet another quintessentially American film — this time about the military.
Starring Bryan Cranston, Steve Carrell and Laurence Fishburne, Last Flag Flying tells of two former Marines and one former Navy Corps medic who reunite for a mission to give one of their sons a proper funeral.
The comedy-drama is based on Darryl Ponicsan’s novel of the same name and is a sequel to the 1973 film The Last Detail starring Jack Nicholson.
It’s scheduled for a US theatrical release in November.
Strike: The Cuckoo’s Calling
Strike: The Cuckoo’s Calling is a series based on the eponymous detective novels by JK Rowling under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith.
Starring Tom Burke and Holliday Grainger, the show tells of war veteran turned private investigator Cormoran Strike as he tackles complex cases that have eluded police.
The show premiered on BBC on Sunday night, and has been picked up by HBO for the US and Canada.
Human Flow
Human Flow is an Ai Weiwei documentary on the global refugee crisis. Filmed across 23 countries, Weiwei follows a chain of stories that show what it means to be a refugee in 2017.
“Being a refugee is much more than a political status,” a woman says in the trailer. “It is the most pervasive kind of cruelty that can be exercised against a human being. You are forcibly robbing this human being of all aspects that would make human life not just tolerable but meaningful in many ways.”
As a heads up: don’t read the comments section on YouTube if you’re looking for empathy or compassion.
Human Flow is coming later this year.
Riverdale
Everyone’s favourite grimdark comic adaptation is back, and it’s promising a season even darker than the first.
Featuring Archie’s bloodied hand, Jughead with a baseball bat, a potential shower sex scene and tons of low-key lighting, this season looks set to anger even more diehard comic fans than the first.
It premieres 11 October in the US.
Humans of New York
Popular Facebook page Humans of New York is releasing its own series to Facebook TV. The show will feature 12 30-minute-long episodes of interviews recorded over the past four years.

The Opposition with Jordan Klepper
The Opposition with Jordan Klepper is a satirical series that mocks the “hyperbolic, conspiracy-laden noise machine that is the alternative-media landscape on both the right and left”.
“It’s time for us to fight against them,” rallies Klepper in the trailer, “because them is fighting against we.”
It stands as a companion show to The Daily Show with Trevor Noah and will debut behind it on 25 September.
