Indian streaming company Hotstar set a new world streaming record this weekend, thanks largely to the IPL.

The Indian T20 cricket tournament final between the Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings topped 18.6-million simultaneous viewers — a new high watermark for simultaneous viewers of a streamed video on the internet.

According to a report by TechCrunch, it’s not even the first time Hotstar broke the 10-million barrier. And overall, more than 267-million viewers tuned in to watch at least one match during the season.

The numbers also tower ahead of other notable records on other services. On YouTube, the stratospheric jump by Felix Baumgartner still holds the record on Google’s video platform, with eight million people tuning in to see the Austrian live.

Notably, Disney inherited Hotstar when it bought 21st Century Fox earlier this year.
