Google’s sharpening the hatchet once again in 2019.
In a year that has seen the demise of YouTube Gaming, automatic response app Reply and Google’s Inbox email client, the Mountain View company’s about to bury yet another promising app.

“Support for the Google Trips app will end on August 5, 2019,” according to an updated Google support page.
“At this time, you’ll no longer be able to use the app. Until then, you’ll still be able to access and email all of your trip reservations and notes as normal.”
Judging by explainers within the support page, Google’s pushing Trips users to employ Search and Maps as replacements.
Google Trips is a useful travel organiser and planning app that siphoned info from Gmail, listing flight details, hotel bookings, and more. It also allows users to plan their vacations, listing local info, and places of interest around their destination.
While the app does seem to be dying an early death, Google Trips also has a web interface. It does seem, for now at least, that this online portion of Trips will live on.
