With all the operating system and hardware announcements from WWDC 2019 this week, the fact that you can now log in to services using your Apple ID was probably lost in the mail.
The company, during Monday’s keynote, announced that users can now tap a login button that will allow users to log in to services using Apple’s systems.
No ad to show here.
Apple also noted that by using this button, no data will be sent to a third-party company.
The button is similar to those you’d see from Google and Facebook on apps and services online.
Importantly though, for Apple at least, the company wants its app developers to place its button above those of Google and Facebook, according to Reuters.
This is according to Apple’s “Human Interface Guidelines” which is not a Bible for app developers.
That said, you’re likely going to see a lot more “Sign on with Apple” buttons floating around the web from this week.
