Google has launched a new platform called Digital Wellbeing Experiments to promote the development of wellbeing-focused apps.
The debut comes after Google introduced new digital wellbeing tools in Android 10 back in May.

“Anyone can use the platform to share their ideas and experimental tools to help people find a better balance with technology,” the company said on Wednesday.
As part of the launch, Google also released experimental apps in the form of We Flip and Desert Island.
While We Flip help users switch on Do Not Disturb across multiple phones, Desert Island allows access to essential apps only.
Unlock Clock, meanwhile, keeps tabs on how often users unlock their phones.
“We’ve open-sourced the code and created guides for others to make their own experiments,” Google also said.
The apps are available to try on the company’s Experiments page.
