Native Advertising and Sponsored Content
Memeburn has a number of options when it comes to Native Advertising and Sponsored Content. You can read more about them below:
1. Sponsored Content
Sponsored content carries the word “Sponsored” in the title and appears in the “Sponsored” category on the sites. The company paying for the content produces it and appears as the author. This content is subject to regulation by the Advertising Standards Authority. Burn Media also reserves the right not to publish content which does not conform to its own editorial guidelines. Sponsored content should not merely be a press release issued by the company paying for it, but content that adds genuine value to Burn Media’s readership.
2. Native Advertising
Content carrying this label is editorially independent, but a sponsor whose branding appears on editorial content may have a role in suggesting what kind of topics are covered. Memeburn is not however obliged to accept ideas from the sponsor. The content is written and edited by Burn Media journalists to the same standards expected in all of our journalism. Memeburn will not show copy to sponsors for approval.
3. Category Sponsorship
Articles within this category are all editorially independent and do not include any direction from advertisers. This can include sponsorship of categories, as well regular article series that appear across the Burn Media suite of sites.
