Google gives users some tips on how to spend Ramadan
Google is big on celebration and helping users spend quality time with their families. That’s why it’s built this page for Ramadan 2013. Along with suggestions for users on ways connect with their families during this holy period, the page also comes with some hints on celebrating.
“This year, as families around the world celebrate Ramadan, we have some tips on how you can more easily keep in touch and share moments with the people you care about,” wrote the internet giant in a recent blog post.
The page offers interesting activity such Google Hangouts with far away family members, the ability to watch live cook-along Hangouts with celebrity chefs from around Southeast Asia. Users will also be able to easily discover and watch videos on YouTube, and find the best commute routes that will get you home in time to share a meal with loved ones.
Google is also tracking all the conversation about this period on Google Plus with the hashtag “Breakingfast” by enabling users to see “how people around the world are celebrating Ramadan”.
Users can catch events as they happen on various live stream.
“You can also experience the atmosphere of Al-Masjid Al-Haram by tuning in to the live stream from the Grand Mosque in Mecca, Saudi Arabia on the Saudi Ministry of Culture and Information’s YouTube channel, also available directly on our new page,” Google says.
