Intel unveils new keyboard that charges at PC base
Anyone who’s ever owned a wireless keyboard knows how painful it is to run out of battery at exactly the wrong time.
You could go solar, but that generally means leaving your keyboard outside and who wants to do that? It seems that Intel has a solution. According to Endgadget, the hardware giant has unveiled new wireless keyboard starts charging as soon as you place it alongside the base of a PC.
Okay okay, inductive charging isn’t exactly revolutionary, but what makes this keyboard special is that you don’t need a special pad to charge it. In fact, only one side of the keyboard has to be touching the PC.
Endgadget reports that Intel is considering implementing the technology to its other products, although it has yet to give any specific date.
The keyboard doesn’t make much sense with a conventional desktop PC, but the rise of all-in-one PCs means that it has a definite place in the future.
