Galaxy S camera, the love-child of digital devices spawns at IFA 2012
From the godfathers of mobile phone information comes this meaty story: Samsung’s hard at work on a 16MP Galaxy S III camera, aptly named the Samsung Galaxy S camera. What now?
Here’s everything we know. It’s going to be an Ice Cream Sandwich-based, 16MP camera with that gorgeous SuperAMOLED display. The screen will be a beefy 4.8-inches, which is more than ample for ICS OS.
We have a hard time believing random sources, but site promises that the tipster’s information is solid. That’s as legitimate as any tech rumour is going to get (cue sarcasm). The source gives an odd description of the Samsung Galaxy S camera: “It’s a Galaxy S III glued to the back of a point-and-shoot camera, with no physical buttons on the back.” Sounds dreamy. Also, it’ll be ergonomically sound, with a curved back and a pop-up Xenon flash. There’s also talks of a 10x optical zoom, but that may be hoping for too much. The zoom function of mobile cameras is notoriously shit, for lack of a better word.
What else? It’s supposed to be two times thicker than the Galaxy S III and will be outfitted with WiFi and 3G. So, it’s a fat, fancy camera phone then? IFA 2012 is where the new Samsung S camera plus a metric ton of new gadgets is scheduled for launch. Join us for the chocolate rain of gadgets.
