Sony’s 5-inch ‘Yuga’ Android smartphone leaked
This leak comes courtesy of German Android site, Android Schweiz, along with a couple of spec details. Rumors of a new Sony flagship device have been circulating for quite some time.
Initially thought to be the “Odin“, this latest device is dubbed the C6603 or “Yuga”.
Android Schweiz got an exclusive hands on with this soon to be released smartphone and say it has a Unibody housing that apparently incorporates a non-removable battery.
The Yuga is believed to pack a quad-core 1.5 Ghz processor and 2GB of RAM. Images show the device running Android 4.1.1 Jellybean. It also sports an impressive looking 5-inch touch enabled full HD display. It has been fitted with a 12MP rear camera, unfortunately no specs are available on the front facing one.
No release date has been mentioned yet, but this new device should certainly be a contender for the phablet market. This leak does however leave us slightly disappointed as the rumors of the “Odin” seemed far more promising than what the Yuga looks likely to deliver. We still hope that Sony will release a legitimate competitor to go up against Apple and Samsung’s smartphones.
