BlackBerry 10 launch event [Live blog]

The day has finally arrived. After waiting months to see what BlackBerry has in store for the smartphone market it once dominated, we will finally have something more than claims about the number of apps, a few Dev Alpha models and some gorgeous leaked snapshots to show us what BlackBerry’s latest operating system and devices will really be like.

Gearburn’s Steven Norris and Martin Carstens will be blogging live from the much-anticipated launch of what may or may not signal the start of BlackBerry’s comeback from 17:00 CAT (10:00 EST / 15:00 GMT) onwards. The launch is happening simultaneously at events in New York, Toronto, Johannesburg, Dubai, London, Jakarta, Delhi and Paris, and will also be streamed live on RIM’s website.
