The most notable new feature is the ability to broadcast messages to specific lists. This means that we’ll be able to send a mass, single-line message to those we’ve specifically selected in our address book.
What we like of course, is the way WhatsApp now fits in with iOS 7. Before, WhatsApp retained that iOS 6 look and was at odds with the design of Apples latest iOS update. Now though, it’s all sunshine, rainbows and ultra-white messaging. According to The Next Web, WhatsApp has over 350-million registered users, and as usual, it’s a free download (for 12 months, and thereafter 99-cents per year). We’ll take the new-look WhatsApp for a lengthy spin and see if it holds up to the type of extended messaging that us geeks are famous for.
