PS4 beats PC graphics with ‘Kingdom Under Fire II’
Upcoming PS4 game Kingdom Under Fire II is set to have better graphics than its PC counterpart, says game developer Blue Side Studios. According to a report from 2p, which interviewed Kingdom Under Fire II producer Sang Youn Leethe, the PS4 graphics “will be much better and higher than the PC version.”
When asked about the differences between the PS4 and PC, Lee says, “[It’s] a little hard to tell you right now because if the PC users know, they will be very angry. PS4 has much better graphics. PS4 graphics quality will be much better and higher than the PC version.” PC owners will also have to deal with a gamepad-focused interface as “it is more focused on ps4 console.”
Comparing graphics between consoles is nothing new, but saying that a console version will definitely have better graphics than the always more powerful PC is tantamount to heresy in gaming circles. Then again, if the Xbox One and PS4 can both live up to their respective (and powerful) hardware, we may see the end of PC versus console arguments in their entirety. But since the internet loves a good argument, there’s little hope in that.
Kingdom Under Fire II, a massive multiplayer online game mixed with RPG and RTS elements, has been in closed-beta since 2011 and should finally release for PC and PS4 mid-2014.
