EGE, also known as the Electronic Gaming Expo, is returning to Cape Town’s CTICC for its second edition this July.
Last year’s inaugural event reportedly broke the attendance record for the CTICC, which is a remarkable indication of Cape Town’s hunger for gaming and geekery.

This year’s EGE will take place later in the year between 29-31 July, however tickets will go on sale from 4 March.

“Not only will EGE 2016 have everything fans loved from last year’s show including cosplay competitions; awesome merchandise on sale from South Africa’s top retailers; demonstrations and hands-on time with of some of the latest tech, but for the first time will be introducing the EGE LAN,” notes the press release.
The LAN will host around 400 gamers this year, and will cost R400 per participant, while the EGE day pass will sell for R80 until 31 March. Beyond that date, prices begin at R100 per day. Weekend pass tickets can be had for R200.
