Hide your credit card: Steam’s big summer sale is here
There’s a new Steam sale, which can only mean one thing… It’s time to buy more cheap games you won’t ever play.
Yep, the Steam Summer Picnic Sale went live last night, resulting in Valve‘s servers being rather overloaded. In fact, some people saw error pages, complete with a Valve message noting that the website was under “heavy load”.
Still, there are plenty of great games available for sale.
Games in the LEGO franchise are available at a discount of between 30 and 75%, with 11 titles available for just R54 each.
Indie game fan? This War of Mine is also available for R54, Stardew Valley sees a modest price cut from R159 to R127, Hotline Miami 2 will set you back R39 and The Vanishing of Ethan Carter costs R43.
Prefer AAA titles? Then NBA 2K16 sees a big price drop to R119, the Assassin’s Creed franchise sees a discount of between 30 and 75%, Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition is available for R79 and the Call of Duty series gets a discount of between 50 and 67%.
Other prominent titles in the sale include GTA V (R479), The Witcher 3 (R249) and Fallout 4 (R399).
There are loads more games available as part of the Steam sale, which ends on 4 July.
