Here’s how to kill an Xbox One S and PS4 Pro in less than 10 minutes
We know exactly what you need just before the weekend: a rage inducing video. Note though, that EverythingApplePro’s subscribers asked him to do this, but still, we couldn’t help but shed a tear. The video in question, made by the YouTuber, takes a look at the battle between the Xbox One S, the PlayStation 4 Pro, the Apple TV 2016 and — chief antagonist — a USB killer stick.
If you haven’t heard of the latter, it’s probably the most evil device ever made by computer nerds. Generally, inserting the stick into any device’s USB port almost guarantees a fried motherboard.
Yes, a USB killer will destroy an Xbox One S and PlayStation 4 Pro
The stick, like Electro, absorbs power from the USB port in the computer, stores it and bolts it back into the PC with a scary pop.
For the record, we don’t recommend that anyone who loves their hardware attempt this.
As for the results? Well, I think carnage is an apt word here.
Without even setting up the devices, EverythingApplePro inserted the stick into the consoles, and destroyed them. The Apple TV seemed to endure, however. Effectively, that’s US$649 of dead console.
Nevertheless, have a look at the video below. Everything has also tested the killer on a Lenovo ThinkPad, a Samsung Galaxy Note 7, a brand new Google Pixel, and the just-launched 2016 Apple MacBook Pro.
