Dishonored 2 gets New Game Plus mode this week
We really enjoyed Dishonored 2 (review), being a worthy follow-up to the excellent 2012 original. It’s not perfect though, as the lack of a New Game Plus mode was one of our criticisms.
Fortunately, Arkane Studios has issued a crucial update (dubbed Game Update 1) for the title this week, bringing New Game Plus to the stealth-action title.
“Unlocked once you complete Dishonored 2 with either Emily or Corvo, New Game Plus lets you begin anew with either character, but this time you’ll have access to the full suite of abilities from both of the game’s heroes,” publisher Bethesda wrote on its website.
The latest update for Dishonored 2 should give you more bang for your buck
“If you’ve ever wanted to make higher-powered characters, now’s your chance. If you’ve wanted to play Emily Kaldwin with Possession or Devouring Swarm, or Corvo Attano with Domino, now you can. We’ve been having fun with it here at Arkane Studios, and we hope you will too,” added Arkane’s creative director Harvey Smith.
Players will start their new playthrough with all powers and bonecharm traits from the previous playthrough. But you can opt to reassign runes for different powers instead.
The second update (called Game Update 2) is set to arrive in January, bringing a Mission Select feature and more custom difficulty settings.
