LG to reveal six smartphones at CES – report

LG isn’t mucking about when it comes to next month’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES) – at least if the latest report is correct.

According to the ever-reliable Evan Blass, the South Korean manufacturer is expected to announce six smartphones at the expo.

Four of the devices are apparently updated entries in its K range, in the form of the K3, K4, K8 and K10.

The 2017 K3 will pack a 4.5-inch display (presumably below 720p), a 2MP selfie shooter, 5MP main camera and 2100mAh battery. The K4 features a 4.7-inch screen, 5MP selfie camera, 8MP main shooter and 2500mAh battery.

The K8 ups the ante with a 5-inch 720p display, 5MP selfie shooter, 13MP main camera and 2500mAh battery pack. The K10 packs more notable specs into the package, delivering a 5.3-inch display (presumably 720p like the 2016 model), a 5MP wide-angle camera (it’s unclear if this is in addition to a more traditional main camera), a fingerprint scanner and G4-style buttons on the rear.

LG is bringing out all the budget handsets at CES – but we don’t have much to go on just yet

The two other devices purportedly debuting at CES are the LG X calibur and the LG Stylus 3.

The former definitely looks like the more durable device, packing an IP68 water/dust resistance rating, “military standard durability” and a 4100mAh battery.

The Stylus 3 is a follow-up to previous stylus-toting entries, but packs 32GB of storage, 3200mAh battery, a fingerprint scanner and 13MP/5MP cameras (with flashes on both of them).

Expect to hear about the devices early next month, when CES kicks off in Las Vegas.
