There’s a Morrowind expansion coming to The Elder Scrolls Online
If you haven’t had a chance to try out The Elder Scrolls Online (let’s be honest, Skyrim is still amazing and you’re probably still stuck into it), now may be time to start looking into the game. Bethesda Softworks has announced that it will be releasing a Morrowind expansion to the online game.
In The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind, players will be able to journey to Vvardenfell — an island inside of the province of Morrowind — and undertake an additional 30 hours of new storyline. The game takes place around 700 years before the events of The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, so the world may not be too familiar.
According to the press release, players will “help Vivec, the legendary warrior-poet and Guardian of Vvardenfell, solve the mystery of his mysterious illness, regain his strength — and save the world from ultimate destruction”.
Another large addition to the Morrowind expansion — and a new class to the series — is the Warden, which also comes with a War Bear combat ally.
Bulking up the rest of the expansion is a new Trial, three-team mode, as well as the ‘Battlegrounds’ 4v4v4 PvP mode.
The game is up for pre-order on the Elder Scrolls Online website, though we’re still a few months away from the 6 June release date. It will be available in standard and upgrade editions, the latter is for those who already own the base game. As with pretty much all big releases these days, there is a Digital Collector’s Edition, which includes a range of exclusive content.
