Yes, Black Ops 2 is now backwards-compatible on Xbox One

Call of Duty Black Ops 2

Microsoft has been doing a (mostly) fantastic job of bringing Xbox 360 games to Xbox One via backwards-compatibility. We’ve seen Red Dead Redemption, Grand Theft Auto IV and scores of other high-profile titles come to the new console.

There were a few top-notch holdouts though, with Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 arguably being the most requested title. Fortunately, Microsoft has stepped up, announcing that the game is now available on Xbox One.

The title’s backwards compatibility coincides with Microsoft’s Spring Sale, with the game seeing a modest discount as well.

It’s not the only Xbox 360 title to be added to the list in recent weeks, with Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet, Civilization Revolution, Far Cry 3 and Army of Two also made backwards compatible.

It’s not the only backwards compatible Call of Duty game either, with Call of Duty 2, Call of Duty 3, Call of Duty: Black Ops and Call of Duty: World at War all compatible.
