“As an entry-point to the world of 4K, the LEGRIA HF G50 is designed to capture and future-proof special moments in higher resolution,” reveals Canon in a press release.
Along with 4K video recording capabilities, the camcorder features a 1/2.3-type sensor, 20x optical zoom and manual control.
The device is “ideal for those looking to take their first steps into the world of 4K video”.
With aperture stops between f/1.8 and f/2.8, the camcorder also performs well in low light situations.
Other features include image stabilisation, touchscreen and customisable settings.
The LEGRIA HF 60
“The LEGRIA HF G60, with its 1.0-type sensor, provides advanced users with the ability to shoot vivid and stunning movies in 4K UHD,” notes Canon.
In addition to these features, the device further includes Dual Pixel CMOS AF and 15x optical zoom with f/2.8 -f/4.5 aperture.
The touchscreen camcorder also features image stabilisation and customisable settings.
“Equipping users with a range of features that enhance their artistic shooting abilities, both camcorders feature circular apertures for smooth bokeh,” says the company
Both devices boast dual SD card slots as well.
The XA55 and XA50
“The XA55 / XA50 is a 4K UHD camcorder with a 1.0-type sensor, Dual Pixel CMOS AF and 15x Optical zoom, with the XA55 model featuring 3G-SDI,” Canon explains.
In fact, it is the first in the series to feature the 1.0-type sensor.
The camcorder also shows off 4K UHD video recording, Over Sampling HD processing and 15x optical zoom, along with dual SD card slots and “more than two hours of continuous operation”.
The XA40
This is Canon’s lightweight professional camcorder, with a body weighing in at 730g.
The 4K UHD device features a 1/2.3-type CMOS sensor and 20x optical zoom.
Like the XA55 and XA 50, the camcorder also sports Over Sampling HD processing and two SD card slots.
Both devices share an Infrared Mode for no-light situations.
“Competitively priced and light in weight, these new camcorders broaden the reach of the XA product family and will resonate with professional users for applications such as news gathering, corporate video and documentary production.”
