Leaked specs and renders of a future Huawei device suggests that the company could be ditching the notch in favour of a pop-up selfie camera design.
Dubbed the Huawei P Smart Z, the phone features a 6.6 inch display with 2340×1080 resolution, a 4000mAh battery drained by a Kirin 710 chipset, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, and a dual rear camera array with a 2MP depth sensor and a 16MP primary snapper.

So yes, it’s still decidedly mid-range like the current P Smart.
But the biggest design feature on the phone is the pop-up camera, which rises from the left side of its top edge. It houses a 16MP snapper with f/2.0 aperture, according to SlashGear.
More concrete renders were published to Twitter on Thursday by VentureBeat’s Evan Blass.

It’s an oddball combination of specifications for a mid-range phone, but the next P Smart series could be a similar project to Samsung’s Galaxy A series — a range of mid-range devices on which Samsung tests newer, crazier specs. The Galaxy A80, albeit more heavily specced than the P Smart Z, is testament to that.
Just when this device will launch and how much it will cost remains a mystery, but a price tag of around $230 doesn’t seem too bad at all.
