Sony’s new RX100 II compact camera is picture perfect for vloggers
Sony on Thursday revealed the RX100 VII, a compact camera seemingly designed to suit every vlogger’s need.
“Utilizing technologies that were previously available only in Sony’s acclaimed Alpha 9 full-frame mirrorless camera, the RX100 VII achieves new levels of performance in a compact camera,” the company said in a press release.
The device not only brings Real-time Tracking and Eye AF to a compact camera for the first time, but also shows off the new 1.0-type stacked Exmor RS CMOS sensor.
The 20.1MP camera can record in 4K too, and features a 3.5mm mic input and 180-degree flip screen.
Basically, its a vlogger’s dream in the form of a compact camera, with 24-200mm zoom and a f/2.8 – f/4.5 aperture range.
The Sony RX100 VII will go on sale this August for $1200.
Sony will also launch a shooting grip and jacket case for the camera later in the year.
