Apple opened its 2019 Special Event not with hardware, but with a gaming-related announcement.
Apple Arcade, the company’s new gaming subscription service for its devices, will debut on 19 September for $5 per month.

It will arrive with exclusive from AAA game developers, but don’t expect console-equivalent titles offered by Google Stadia.
In many ways it’s more of a Google Play Pass competitor.
There’s a new take on Frogger called Frogger in Toy Town (which features a giant baby), and Sayonara Wild Hearts from Annapurna, which looks like it would do well on something like the Switch.
It’s not yet clear if the service will be available in South Africa at launch.
