Samsung’s Galaxy S11 phones are set to grow in size in 2020
If you thought smartphones were too big in 2019, just wait until next year.
According to leaks from Venturebeat reporter Evan Blass, the Samsung Galaxy S11 series will be among the biggest yet.
Blass, in a series of tweets, explained that the smallest device — possibly the Galaxy S11e or S11 Lite — will measure in at 6.4-inches — that’s much, much larger than the 5.8-inch display used on the compact S10e and older S8.
The middle device — likely the Galaxy S11 — will measure in at 6.7-inches.
The largest device — likely the Samsung Galaxy S11 Plus — will measure 6.9-inches from corner to corner. That’s only marginally smaller than the Huawei Mate 20X at 7.2-inches.
Forget phablets. Phones are turning into literal tablets.
Considering we’re in the age of 5G, Samsung’s planning 5G variants for all three phones. 4G variants will also be offered to the middle and smallest devices.
Samsung’s yet to announce any details for its upcoming flagship smartphone series, but it has announced a new chipset that could make its bow on the S11.
Other rumours also suggest the use of a 108MP camera sensor on the S11. That same sensor, made by Samsung, is currently used on the Xiaomi Mi Note 10.
