Motorola Razr 2019’s screen is made with ‘bumps and lumps’ in mind

Isn’t it great that in the age of foldable phones we all need to be taught a thing or two about caring for our devices?

2020 may herald some tougher bendables, but it seems that Motorola’s Razr 2019 won’t really be one of them.

According to a video posted to YouTube, the Razr will not need a screen protector. Users will also have to avoid introducing it to “sharp objects”. We’re not sure if manicured fingernails count.

Motorola also advises users fold the device before putting it back into their pockets.

And finally, an interesting thing to note, Motorola calls the Razr “water repellent”. It doesn’t mean water resistance, but that’s at least means a droplet won’t completely destroy the device.

Motorola’s billing its first foldable as hardier than the Galaxy Fold, but that doesn’t mean it won’t be fragile compared to other phones.

But where “bumps and lumps” killed Samsung’s device, it seems that Motorola users may be able to get away with mildly abusing the Razr.

Motorola’s foldable Razr hits pre-order on Verizon today in the US for a steamy $1499.
