As part of its premium compact camera range, Fujifilm South Africa on Wednesday revealed the upcoming retro-aesthetic Fujifilm X100V.
Aimed at street and travel photographers, the new camera boasts an updated 23mm F2 fixed lens along with Fujifilm’s latest X-Trans CMOS 4 sensor and X-Processor 4.
The 26.1MP camera further features a “vastly improved” hybrid viewfinder, which allows photographers to switch between both optical (OVF) and electronic (EVF) viewing options.
“Offering 95% frame coverage, the OVF provides parallax-correcting frame lines to provide an uninterrupted view of the world as it is, while the camera’s EVF delivers a real-time digital representation of the image as it is being made,” explained Fujifilm in press release.
Additionally, the X100V also includes 4K video recording capabilities and a new titling touchscreen monitor.
In terms of its retro appeal, the camera features a “classic rangefinder film camera” feel and comes in both silver and black colour variants too.
According to Fujifilm, the X100V will launch in South Africa this March for around R19 500.
