The Huawei Y7p’s cameras pack features you’d normally find on phones more expensive, giving users multiple options to capture that perfect shot. It’s essentially your mobile photo studio.

For starters, there’s the selfie camera.

It’s mounted in punch hole within the screen, which allows Huawei to stretch the display even further. It packs an 8MP f/2.0 aperture camera that’ll ensure your selfies are beautiful and detailed.

At the rear, the Huawei Y7p features three cameras.

The first and largest is a 48MP f/1.8 camera. That’s enough megapixels to rival phones many times more expensive.

Joining it is an 8MP ultra wide angle lense camera with an f/2.4 aperture, and a 2MP depth-sensing camera with f/2.4 aperture.

The latter enables the phone to capture finer details and improve clarity when capturing portraits, while the ultra wide angle camera lets you see more without changing your position. It’s perfect for landscapes and sunsets.

The Huawei Y7p also supports panoramic shooting, and LED flash and HDR.

All cameras on the phone are boosted by Huawei’s AI scene recognition. The software automatically identifies over 500 scenes across 21 categories in real time, adjusting picture settings accordingly.

Some scenes include food, mountains, the sky, animals, and even greenery.

This means that even a beginner can snap incredible photographs with the Huawei Y7p.

You can browse through your photos too using Huawei’s Gallery app. It features smart gallery searching which identifies 280 tags without a network connection. Simply search “people” and all the pictures featuring your friends and family will appear.

This makes organising your important photos a breeze.

Finally, the Huawei Y7p also includes the company’s legendary night mode. First launched on Huawei’s flagship smartphones, it’s now also available on the Y7p.

You can snap clear, crisp photos in low light without a tripod. It uses AI stabilisation alongside exposure times of six seconds to capture details that other phones just can’t quite see.
