iPhone SE 2020 debuts with ridiculously good specs for a relatively low price
Apple has a new phone in its lineup, and it’s surprisingly cheap.
The new iPhone SE made its debut on Wednesday bringing with it a $399 base price tag, and iPhone 8-like body and a tiny-for-2020 screen.
At 4.7-inches, you’ll have trouble finding a smaller display on a smartphone this year, especially one this feature packed.
Internally, the phone features Apple’s A13 Bionic chipset, which also powers the iPhone 11 line. Storage ranges from 64GB for the cheapest version, to 256GB for the premium model.
There’s also IP67 water and dust resistance bundled in too. The Touch ID sensor also makes a return but there’s no headphone jack, and Apple’s Lightning port for charging also returns. That said, it’s now compatible with Qi wireless charging docks.
Finally, imaging. The iPhone SE sports a 12MP f/1.8 camera at the rear. Up front lies a 7MP f/2.2 snapper.
Overall, it’s a solid product on paper, and will be available for preorder from 17 April, going on sale a week later “across 40 countries and regions”.
