While Huawei may not have announced an official retail price or South African date of arrival for its P40 series, local retailer Cellucity has provided us with a clue.
According to listings on the site, the Huawei P40 5G 128GB will cost R16 999, with the P40 Pro 5G 256GB retailing for an additional R5000.

Only Black and Silver Frost variants are on offer at the time of writing.
Both products are currently marked as “Out of stock” but users can join the waitlist. Cellucity told Gearburn that both devices will arrive in June.
The Chinese smartphone firm has already announced the arrival of the P40 Lite in the country, as well as its official price, but failed to shed light on the other P40 products.
It’s also not yet clear if the P40 Pro Plus will be offered in South Africa. The same is true for the recently announced P40 Lite 5G.
