Those selected for the academy will receive training in content creation, including technical writing and social media skills.

Meanwhile, participants can also develop and grow a local fan base and their personal brand in the process.

Entries for the Content Creator Academy are open from now until 23 October 2020. Logitech will select and announce eight finalists on 30 October.

These finalists will join the academy, which begins on 1 November. Participants will receive training from Sam ‘Tech Girl’ Wright and Dangerous Dave from Super2Bit.

The company will announce the academy’s two winners on 15 December. Each will receive a six-month contract with Logitech G as content creators.

The academy aims to create opportunities to engage with the local gaming community and its content creators.

“Our Content Creator Academy is designed to challenge the perception of what a typical gamer looks like by opening up the gaming community to young South African women and men, from all walks of life,” says Logitech G South Africa Marketing Manager Alexander ‘Lizzard’ Olls.

“We want to provide these talented individuals with the tools they require to hone their abilities and pursue their love for gaming and content creation.”
