The series of OLED TVs landing on our shores include devices from the Z1, G1, C1, and A1 series in a variety of sizes.
The premium offerings — the Z1, G1, and C1 series — all feature LG’s latest Alpha Gen 9 AI processors. Meanwhile, the new A1 series offers LG OLED technology at a more affordable price bracket for local consumers.
The Z1 takes the title of the largest and highest resolution TV in the lineup: an 88-inch 8K OLED television. It is also the most expensive, priced at R549 999.
For gamers, the company highlighted its C1 range.
“LG’s 2021 C1 OLED TV is the best match for next-gen gaming consoles and PCs,” the company said.
Like the other OLEDs LG is launching, the range supports HDMI 2.1 — an important feature for next-gen consoles. However, the range also features HDR, low input latency, and numerous ports.
The C1 series includes televisions between 48 inches and 83 inches in size — which also means the price range varies considerably. You’re looking at R21 999 for the 48-inch version, all the way up to R199 999 for the 83-inch TV.
