MateBook 14 vs D 14
Some users who aren’t familiar with HUAWEI’s naming conventions for its laptop products may not know the difference between its standard MateBook range and its MateBook D range, and therefore the difference between the MateBook 14 versus the MateBook D 14.
The MateBook D range is HUAWEI’s more affordable range of laptops, aimed at more entry-level users. Meanwhile, the standard MateBook is aimed at professional users.
The MateBook D 14 AMD edition launched in South Africa last year, while the Intel edition launched locally in March.
It has a different processor and graphics unit to the MateBook 14, includes less RAM, and has a lower-resolution display.
MateBook 14 battery life
Thanks to its 56Wh battery, the MateBook 14 battery life lasts up to 12 hours with regular office work.
When it comes to local Full HD video playback, the battery lasts up to 11 hours.
It’s also easy to keep the battery topped up thanks to the fast charging support, since 15 minutes of charging gives you 2.5 hours of battery life.
