The iStore South Africa has announced the launch date and price for the new Apple iPhone SE.
The iPhone SE was unveiled at an Apple keynote on 8 March, where the company also announced a new iPad Air and Mac Studio desktop computer.

The third generation of this iPhone range supports 5G and includes an A15 Bionic chip.
Local pre-orders for the 2022 iPhone SE opened on 18 March. Customers who pre-order the device will have it delivered from 25 March.
The iPhone version is aimed at providing a more affordable option for consumers who want to enter the iOS ecosystem. The last iPhone SE was launched in 2020.
iPhone SE price in South Africa
The cash price for the Apple iPhone SE starts at R9 799 for the 64GB version of the phone.
For the 128GB version, you will pay R10 999. Meanwhile, the 256GB version costs R13 299.
Various trade-in options are also available, which can reduce the price of the device
The iStore notes that customers will also be able to order the phone on a cellular contract through its website. When available, you will be able to apply for an upgrade or new contract on the iStore Cellular site for MTN, Vodacom, and Telkom contracts.
Pre-orders for green iPhone 13 open
Pre-orders for the new green version of the iPhone 13 (another announcement from the March keynote) have also opened for South Africa.
The iPhone 13 mini and standard iPhone 13 now have a dark green version available.
Meanwhile, the Pro and Pro Max have an “alpine green” version.
The new colour versions are available from R15 999 for the 128GB iPhone 13 mini to R33 499 for the iPhone 13 Pro Max 512GB version.
