Oppo Reno 7 5G launches in South Africa: price and details
Oppo has launched its Reno 7 5G smartphone in South Africa, revealing the details for its price as well as other products launching later this month.
The Reno 7 was first announced towards the end of 2021, globally launching in February 2022.
It is now available on local shores, with the Reno 7 Z smartphone and Oppo WatchFree smartwatch set to launch later in April.
Here’s what to know about the Oppo Reno 7 5G, the other devices, and their prices…
Oppo Reno 7 5G features
Oppo highlights the selfie camera of the Reno 7, calling the device a portrait expert. The smartphone features a 32MP camera on the front, with an IMX 615 sensor.
According to Oppo, this gives the camera enhanced performance in low light and when delivering photos with a low depth of field (which focuses on the subject and blurs the background).
For the main camera, the smartphone includes a triple-lens camera consisting of 64MP, 8MP, and 2MP lenses.
Along with this, another highlight includes the phone’s SuperVOOC charging tech. This means the phone’s two 2250mAh batteries (which add up to 4500mAh) support 65W charging.
Meanwhile, the 6.4-inch AMOLED display includes a refresh rate of up to 90Hz and an in-screen fingerprint sensor.
Other specs include 8GB of RAM and a MediaTek Dimensity 900 5G SoC chipset. The device also supports 5G and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity.
While the phone comes with Android 11 installed, it is Android 12 ready.
You can see a summary of the Oppo Reno 7 5G specs below:
