Xiaomi 12 Lite launches in South Africa: price and details

Xiaomi 12 Lite

Xiaomi has announced the launch of its new Xiaomi 12 Lite in South Africa, bringing a more affordable smartphone option to its locally available flagship range.

In July, the company launched the Xiaomi 12, bringing a premium device to local shores.

The Xiaomi 12 Lite aims to replicate the premium experience, but with a different spin on its hardware and camera and a lower price point.

Xiaomi 12 Lite features

Despite its name, the Xiaomi 12 Lite features a larger display than the standard version. It includes a 6.55-inch AMOLED display, making it slightly larger than the 6.28-inch display on the Xiaomi 12.

The device also has a different approach to its camera. For its main camera, the 12 Lite features a 108MP main lens, along with an 8MP ultrawide-angle lens and a 2MP macro camera. On the front, it has a 32MP selfie camera.

The smartphone also has a slightly smaller battery at 4,300mAh. Meanwhile, it also has a different processor — equipped with the 6nm Snapdragon 778G.

You can see a summary of the Xiaomi 12 Lite’s specs below:
