Here’s a new app to help you find workspaces with electricity when that dreaded power outage kicks in.
Developer Tristan Klement and co-founder Cara van Coller, the founders of the Remotable App have come up with the answer to a question many employees and people that work remotely battle with during rolling power outages throughout the country.

As the country undergoes Stage 2 loadshedding until Wednesday this week, employees working from home will again have to make contingency plans to be productive without power.
Western Cape’s Klement and van Coller have created an app that maps out workspaces that have power to make working and studying remotely less of a hassle when there’s load shedding.
Known as Remotable, the app, allows users to find alternative venues with power to keep working and studying during load shedding.
From Cafe’s, restaurants, to other workspaces, this app may just be an answer many employees are hoping for.
The app is available on Android.
The app requires access to your camera, GPS location, google play license check and already has around 50 downloads.
Remotable currently has around 60 locations to work from during power outages and increasing.
Download the app and you’re launched into a registration terminal.
You will be asked for details such as your name, surname and city you work from mostly.
Then the app will then ask for an updated image.
Once you’ve filled in all information, you’re all set.
You can browse through the options available depending on the region or area which you’re working from.
The app also lets those with office space rent out unused spaces
