Superb quality, in a small enough-to-carry device, is exactly what the EOS R100 mirrorless camera was designed for.

A 24.1-megapixel camera, Dual Pixel CMOS AF packed into the light body, the EOS R 100 delivers a different type of image quality, competent for shooting on the go.

Alongside the camera is the RF 28mm F2.8STM, one of Canon’s lightest lenses in the RF range.

“Our newest entry-level Canon EOS R System mirrorless camera has been designed to effortlessly capture special moments in outstanding quality and is small enough to carry on any family adventure. We also demonstrate our commitment to expanding the advanced range of RF prime lenses with the launch of the RF 28mm F2.8 STM – the smallest and lightest RF lens yet,” says Roger Machin, Product Marketing Manager at Canon South African.

A 24.1 megapixel APS-C sensor which is larger than any in a smartphone assists in delivering noticeable video as well as image quality with unmatched colour and detail.

Low light

An intelligent autofocus EOS R 100 comes with dual pixel CMOS AF which can be useful when tracking people’s eyes when using the viewfinder or even LCD screen while tracking the action.

The Dual Pixel CMOS AFT is also handy as it enables face detection and eye tracking even when recording in Full HD.

Think improved video performance compared to any smartphone and a device that weighs 356g ready to shoot on the move.

Intuitive controls on the lightweight body, 4K video quality, full HD 60 fps, and 120 p of the EOS R100 all come at a recommended retail price of R 21 999.
