Google Pixel 2 renders leak: your choice of large or thin bezels
Google is gearing up for its Pixel 2 event tomorrow (4 October), where it’s expected to reveal two smartphones in the well-received range.
We’ve already reported on some of the apparent specs, such as a Snapdragon 835 processor, 4GB of RAM and full HD or 1440p displays (full HD for the Pixel 2 and QHD for the Pixel 2 XL).
Now, Venturebeat‘s Evan Blass has published renders of the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, showing two phones with differing approaches to bezels/borders.
The Pixel 2 XL (seen in the featured image) takes a more Galaxy S8-style route, delivering trimmed borders with curved corners as well. Meanwhile, the standard Pixel 2 sees Google taking the Sony Xperia route, with massive bezels.

Blass reports that the XL model will pack an 18:9 display, while the standard Pixel will have a more traditional 16:9 screen ratio.
Other than that, we see familiar specs, in the form of a Snapdragon 835, 4GB of RAM, a 12MP rear camera for both models and 64GB or 128GB storage.
Expect a full reveal tomorrow at 6pm SAST (9am PDT), being live-streamed on YouTube.
