9 more languages for Siri? Apple job ad drops vague hint
Are you fluent in Arabic, Chinese, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, Korean, Norwegian, and Swedish? Well if you are, Apple wants you. A job listing from Apple, spotted by Belgian site “Apple Nieuws Vlaanderen“, is asking for interns fluent in the above mentioned languages, giving the idea that the language support for Siri is to be extended.
Join the team responsible for delivering Siri in different parts of the world for an exciting 6 month internship in Cupertino, California.
Currently Siri is available in eight languages and was first launched as an iOS app, but has been a standard addition since the iPhone 4S, and also now on most of Apple’s products since the release of iOS 6. The job listing is also looking for interns fluent in the languages already supported by Siri, adding to the idea of expanding the app’s capabilities into existing languages and increasing its visibility in as many places as possible to compete against rival apps.
